Meetings with Belgian authors and artists

Frankfurt, 29 September 2017 – On Thursday, 12 October 2017, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde will visit the Frankfurter Buchmesse in Frankfurt am Main. Accompanied by Rudy Demotte, Minister-President of the French Community, her visit will mark the participation of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation as part of „Francfort en français / Frankfurt in French”, France – Guest of Honour at the Frankfurter Buchmesse. The Queen will tour the Guest of Honour Pavilion at this year’s Frankfurter Buchmesse, and will meet Belgian authors and artists who have contributed to the Pavilion. She will visit the stands of publishers from Wallonia and Brussels and attend a working lunch on the topic of the international influence of francophone Belgian literature. The Guest of Honour at the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2017, France, is collaborating with the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Switzerland, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the International Organisation of La Francophonie, in order to demonstrate the vitality of French-language literature beyond the French borders.
