Catherine Heygate

Growing up in England with a German mother, languages and cultural differences were always fascinating to me. My studies in art history meant I was surrounded by illustrated books and so I felt at home in my first job in illustrated publishing as an export sales representative. My position as rights director at Kyle Cathie selling rights in Europe and the US allows me to use my languages, build great relationships with publishers throughout the world and be part of a dynamic global book industry.

Kyle Cathie is an independent non-fiction illustrated publisher specialising in cookery, gardening, health and lifestyle.
We have built a name for ourselves producing beautifully illustrated, content-rich books written by experts in their fields. Passionate, specialised and ethnically-diverse, our authors, particularly through our cookery list, go some way to creating a portrait of modern London.

Our bestselling book in translation is Camellia Panjabi’s 50 Great Curries of India for which we’ve sold co-editions in 13 different languages with sales totalling 1.3 million copies.
