The Frankfurt Book Fair 2016 will take place from 19 to 23 October. The Frankfurt Book Fair is a meeting place for the industry’s experts and the most important marketplace for books, media, rights and licences worldwide. Be they publishers, booksellers, agents, film producers or authors - each year in October, they all come together and create something new.

Book sale at the Fair

On the last day of the fair (Sunday, 23 October 2016) exhibiting publishers are allowed to sell their books at retail price. At the fair you will see many books you would like to buy right away. Whether you're excited about the newest manga or the first edition of an underground poet, on Sunday you can buy them all.   • Trade Visitor Ticket: Please register on My Book Fair to purchase tickets. By buying your tickets online, you save 30 per cent off normal on-site ticket rates. The one-day trade visitor ticket costs just 45 euros online, and the five-day trade visitor ticket 82 euros.
  • Private Visitor Ticket: Buy your ticket for the weekend of the fair (22 and 23 October) today to avoid long queues at the ticket counters. We offer access to international publishers, readings, book presentations and many other interesting events.
