This important segment of the book market is in place in the big exhibition halls, the historic Reading Marquee and in the Forum Audio Books & Fiction.
The Forum Audio books & Fiction - located in hall 4.1 - is the venue for readings, book presentations and discussions concerning the book market.
Another meeting-place for readers and literary figures is the historical Reading Marquee on the outdoor area between the halls. Book Fair visitors of all ages are given the chance here to listen to readings, get to know authors and to enjoy many highlights from the programme of literary events at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
The historical Reading Marquee out in the open grounds at Frankfurt Book Fair is the meeting place for fans of reading and literature.
When there seems to be just too much going on in the halls of the exhibition centre and business at the publishers' stands is just too exhausting, an encounter with authors and artists in the reading tent can be a relaxing interlude before visitors resume their tour of the Fair.
The reading tent is organised by the German Publishers and Booksellers Association.
On trade visitor days the tent can be rented out by publishers on an hourly basis for book presentations, receptions or press conferences.
On the days open to the public there will be round-the-clock readings for children, young people and adults in the reading tent.
The Filu-Archive of illustrators and photographers now in the Centre for Photography & Illustration in Hall 4.1.
With a portfolio of almost 500 artists, the walk-in archive offers thousands of examples of work in different styles and with different subjects. In quiet surroundings, searchers can use a Mac to make a first digital, print-ready selection. Artists' contact details make it possible to set up an appointment with the suitable illustrator right away on the spot. The Filu Café is an insider tip for visitors to meet up away from the Fair's usual hustle and bustle.
