Growing up, I worked in the publishing business part-time in the summer holidays. Then I decided to take up this career and work full-time in our family publishing house.

Over time, I have come to concentrate on editing, marketing and management.
Taking over my father’s business with my sister, I have focused on new dynamics thanks to a younger generation and a more professional attitude. One of the most mind-opening experiences in publishing was to work as a consultant for the professional training programme for publishers from the Arab world organised by the Frankfurt Book Fair and the Goethe-Institut.The idea of implementing a more professional and internationally compatible level in Arab publishing is highly motivating for me, also for the potential of my own publishing house. My aim now is to help create synergies between the Arab world and “the West”.

Since its establishment in 1976, Al Arabi Publishing and Distribution has published a large number of renowned writers and thinkers, tackling a multitude of subjects and specialised topics. We have books on history, mass communication, literature, poetry, religious issues, architecture and children’s books.
