Nandita Bhardwaj
I work as a managing editor with Roli Books, India. For some time now, I have been handling its fiction and non-fiction imprints (IndiaInk and Lotus). Before that, I was an editor at Katha (Academic), mainly dealing with academic authors, but also with regional literature translated into English. Working on those books enhanced my knowledge of Indian literature. Participating in Katha Utsav, an annual event that brings together international writers, translators and readers, was an enriching international literary experience for me, too.
Established in 1978, Roli Books has pioneered illustrated and art book publishing in India, showcasing for the first time the works of some of the most talented Indian photographers.
Since then, Roli has gone on to become the only Indian publisher to have produced co-editions with leading publishers of the world, presenting the best of India to the world and has established a reputation for bringing out high quality books covering a wide range of subjects in the field of arts, crafts and lifestyles.
